  1. Sir migu., tanong ko lang paano po pumunta ng ng puerto princesa galing batangas port. Dala ko kasi L300 van ko may laman n gamit. At magkano ko lahat magagastos sir? Thank you. God bless

      • Hello guys, my apologies for late repliy. With regards to your questions- Ferry going to Puerto Princesa. My answer is there is no RORO Ferry going directly to Puerto Princesa coming from Batangas. However, there is one coming from Manila particulary North Harbor. Please do check to 2GO’s website for their sched on this route.

    • Hi, there is one RoRo service in Davao and/or the one in Nasipit-sailing on a weekly basis, just check on 2GO Travel’s website or any of their ticketing office near you.

  3. hi my wife wants to go home 20th december to bacolod we live in puerto galera is it possible to get a roro bus and go all the way as i think roro bus goes via mindoro thanks

    Like

    • If your plan is to ride a RORO Bus (or any other provincial buses) all the way to Bacolod from Puerto Galera on the 20th of December, I am pretty sure you will have a tough time securing a decent seat… Why? Consider the ff.
      1. It’s five days before christmas, meaning it’s peak season and thousand upon thousand of passengers are heading back home like you.
      2. RORO buses coming from Manila are already filled with passengers, that’s for sure.
      3. Unless these buses have a vacant seat they won’t take another passenger onboard-but sometimes they do allow it only if the passenger agree to stand or seat uncomfortable in a bus aisle.

Solution: Just take a ride with passenger van (V-hire) parked along Calapan Port to Dangay Port, then board a ferry for Caticlan Port; once arrive in Caticlan there will be Ceres buses bound for Iloilo waiting for passengers. By the way you have two choices on which ferry to take crossing to Bacolod City, one is via Dumangas Port and the other one is in Iloilo City- I prefrer the latter.

      I hope it help. Thanks!

    • 1,872.00 ang fare ng roro batangas port going to abra de ilog, wlang byahe directly to san jose kya may 3hrs. road trip ka from abra de ilog to san jose occidental mindoro. 2,340 pesos ang wheels pero humingi ka ng discount kc kung hahayaan mo na magbayad ka ng 2, 340 ang byaran mo lugi ka. svhin mo dati ka na bumayahe ng papuntang abra de ilog.

    • Walang direct to Cagayan de Oro for now, but then again it is better to ask Super Shuttle RoRo’s ticketing office in Batangas for updated sched this upcoming Semana Santa, sila kasi DATI yun may direct trip to CDO via Cebu coming from Batangas. If then again wala talagang trip I suggest (if you insist on Batangas rather than Bicol-Samar) to take RORO via Culasi,Roxas-Dumangas or Iloilo City-Guimaras to Pulupandan Negros Occ. or Bredco/Bacolod-Dumaguete route. From Dumaguete meron po Lite Shipping LCT going to Cagayan de Oro (What I heard they were accepting vehicles, I am not sure about the passengers). Meron din RORO heading for Dapitan on a daily basis. You should not be afraid to ask authorities while on the road, it’s a maze out there, kahit ipaliwanag ko isa-isa you won’t get it agad unless otherwise you’re on the road and driving…and feeling all the confusion. And also, care to look at Google map, study carefully the roads, make a plan of route, make a research and read reviews shared by travelers over the net. Remember, you will need a good MAP to be able to visualize and lay-out your travel plan…it ain’t a joke.

  12. Hello again, went to Fastcat yesterday to inquire but, sadly, no one could tell me what to do. Perhaps you can? We’re planning to travel by car/ferry from Batangas city up to Allen, Samar so my apos can see the Sn Juanico bridge. We don’t like coming back home via the Bicol region. Can you pls suggest of any other options how we can go back to Batangas city without passing the places we’ d been thru? Thank u!

    Like

    • I have once tried the Manila-Ormoc bus ride and it’s amazing to see San Juanico bridge along the way, I am pretty sure your apo will love it (I love to hear Grandpas/ma having fun with their apos). Anyway before answering your question ma’am/sir I was a little bit confused about what you said “travel by car/ferry from Batangas up to Allen, Samar…the San Juanico Bridge?” I was wondering how is it possible to see San Juanico bridge if you drive up to Allen? I think you need to drive all the way to Leyte just to see and appreciate the said bridge.

Going back to your question, “is there any option going back to Batangas…?” If you happen to read the above schedules of RoRos/fastcraft connecting Batangas you will notice only Ports in Mindoro, Romblon, Roxas City and Caticlan does have schedules of trip. I did even went to Batangas Port myself last January to verify the schedules posted here and I can confirmed there were no other ports connecting to Batangas except those mentioned above. Again, NO FERRY CONNECTIONS from any ports within Samar, Leyte, Masbate, Puerto Princesa or Cebu. And so the question is, is it possible to arrive in Batangas coming from Samar without passing Allen and Bicol? My answer is, it is impossible! (unless you had a helicopter, might as well a yacht).

      Is there any option?

Of course there is, I suggest you head to Ormoc City and take a ferry to Cebu. From Cebu City drive to Port of Toledo City, once you arrive at the said port take the Fastcat to Port of San Carlos in Negros Occidental. About two hours no less of driving you will reach Bacolod City, from there take FastCat heading to Iloilo. Once in Iloilo you need to drive at least six hours to reach Caticlan; Batangas is almost within your eyesight. It was quite exhausting trip as I imagine, but I can guarantee you’ll be on a different scenery on your way back home.

I hope I did answer your question. Have a pleasant trip ahead.

      Like

      • Hi, first of all salamat po for patiently reading all of the coments and responses I made. Pinaka convinient access to San Jose Buenavista is via Caticlan (either Bat-Calapan/Roxas,Mindoro-Caticlan or Bat-Romblon-Caticlan via 2GO) pwede ka rin mag Manila-Iloilo un nga lang mas mahal po ang pamasahe ng car nyo unlike sa naunang option makakatipid pero pagod din sa biyahe.
Sa huling tatlong katanungan nyo po about San Jose Buenavista Antique, sa totoo lang po I haven’t been there before kaya wala po akong idea about the place pro yan po ang one of the place i need to check it out kasi meron dyan pantalan (Port of Culasi) na gusto ko alamin kung may connecting trip ng RORO to Cagayancillo Island or Cuyo Island both in Palawan. Anyway, may I suggest for you to check thru google about the place, i sm sure may makikita po kayo mga blog discussing Antique province.

    • Hello Sham,

Schedules posted herein are updated early this year, however, I can’t guarantee its accuracy because shipping companies-the like of Montenegro-often changes their schedules every now and then due to factors affecting their operation.

    • Not exactly direct to Boracay from Romblon, Romblon. Meron ferry trip (via Montenegro Shipping) from Romblon to San Agustin, Tablas then landtrip to Odiongan, then from there meron byahe ang 2GO going to Caticlan (5x a week), and once you get there isang sakay pa ng pumpboat to Boracay.

    • Glen,

      Thanks at Safe trip.

    • Hi,

There are two options (route) you can choose. One is direct route via 2GO Travel- Manila to Zamboanga every sunday. The other option is via Batangas to Caticlan or Roxas, Capiz and then from there you may head to Iloilo then to Bacolod, Dumaguete and Dipolog.- an exciting and butt aching rides.

      With regards to your other question “ano magandang ferry?” I’m sorry mam but I can’t recommend any ferries since lahat naman ng ferries plying on this route obviously had some flaws- in terms of passenger convinience ang cargo handling.     • To be honest ang “delay sa mga byahe” is part of byahe itself. Hindi maiiwasan magkaroon ng aberya lalo na’t hindi natin hawak ang manibela ng barko at isa pa ang Weather. Ang maipapayo ko po siguro ay;

      1. Nararapat na maging flexible ang oras mo sa biyahe at mag expect ka ng delays…iwas frustration.
      2. Alamin mabuti ang weather sa araw ng biyahe, kung sakaling masama ang panahon malamang cancel ang biyahe ng mga sasakyang pandagat.
      3. Kung kayo po ay bibiyahe ng peak season (holidays at long weekends) kadalasan punuan ang capacity ng barko, mas mainam siguro na aga-agahan ang pag tungo sa pantalan ng sa gayun ay mauna po kayo sa pagkahaba-habang pila.
      4. Ihanda mo na rin po un mga papers ng sasakyan mo, kung maari ay naka photocopied lahat.
      5. Make a plan. Mas mainam po kung may plan A at B po ko kayo in case lang eventualities might happen. Like for example, what if sira pala yung nag-iisang barko papunta sa lugar na tutunguhan nyo so ano po ang alternative route.

    • Hi Anna,

With regards to your first question, I think most of the ferries servicing Batangas-Calapan do offers cheap fares for passengers and vehicle -it’ll be a few Pesos difference between one ferry to another. However, if I were to choose, I think FastCat offers faster travel and better accommodation among ROROs. Sorry, no direct ferry from Manila-maybe someday!

    • Hi teng, if you’re planning to travel via boat the only (nothin’n else, sadly) option to take is via 2GO vessel…that is if you will be coming from Manila. Batangas by the way has a better option to choose – but not recommended for a family with a newborn baby.

  22. Hello boss, I was wondering if you know how much will it cost me to bring down a car (honda civic) from Batangas to Caticlan, Im planning to travel with a car to Iloilo. I don’t know if I can get a cheaper deal via Batangas to Caticlan and drive to Iloilo City, or Manila-Iloilo via 2go. Manila-Iloilo will be convenient and less trouble however will cost me more while the the first would be a long drive. Any suggestions? Thankyou
    Best Regards

    • My suggestion is, take the Batangas-Culasi, Roxas City route via Super Shuttle RORO. I have tried it last January and it was way better, less hustle, and relatively cheap compared to what you’ve mentioned route. 2GO Travel also plies on that route- competing against SSR in terms of passenger convenience- living you an option to choose between tourist like accommodation against low cost vehicle and passenger fare. You may contact SSR’S Batangas Booking office at 09396227298/or 090272816521.

By the way, Roxas City is just two to three hours drive to Iloilo City- it got longer due to road improvement going-on along the National Highway.

      Have a nice trip.

  24. Hi! In the Batangas -> Calapan entry, you end with “* Four-wheeled vehicle (cars/suv) fare cost at 1,536 Pesos not including the terminal fee.” Is this true for all? Or is there only Ocean Jet that operates Roro? Thanks!

    • @ drteray,

The qoutation refers to Fastcat and Montenegro Shipping (you may check their respective website for updated infos-they might be changes to date). Whereas the remaining shipping companies i.e Besta, Super Shuttle, and Starlite had a slightly higher/lower fees for four-wheeled vehicles.

By the way Ocean Jet offers fast craft services, they dont have RORO vessel to ferry motor vehicle in between this two beautiful ports.

I hope my answers satisfy you …thanks for taking your time . Migu
